About Around

Around is a free mobile app that makes local shopping as convenient as online shopping. It connects unique local businesses and creative talent with nearby shoppers—helping people discover what’s available locally before turning to large e-commerce sites. Around empowers small businesses with the digital tools they need to compete online, while giving shoppers an easy way to explore what’s around them.

The Around Local Shopping app is available on the Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/around-local-shopping/id6748096824

Currently featuring businesses across New York City, Around lets users browse unique local shops and services, use an AI-powered recommendation tool to find exactly what they’re looking for, and save favorite items to purchase later. Since launching just two weeks ago, the app has received enthusiastic feedback and growing support for local shopping. While we’ve started in NYC, anyone in the U.S. can download the app to help us identify new areas to expand next.
