## Details

GetBankCSV (getbankcsv.com) is a browser tool that turns PDF bank statements into a transaction table you can actually use: CSV, Excel (XLSX), QBO, OFX or QIF, with no software to install and nothing to configure.

The thing it does differently is tell you whether the conversion worked. Two independent checks run on every file and both are visible on the free preview, before any payment. The first is a per-account balance check: the opening balance printed on your statement, plus every transaction read out of it, compared against the printed closing balance. The second matters more than it sounds - a list of anything in the document that never made it into the table at all. When a whole account or page is missing, the remaining numbers still add up perfectly, so a balance check on its own would report success. If either check fails on a conversion you paid for, you get your money back.

There is no supported-banks gate, because there are no per-bank templates: the document in front of it is read as a document, not matched against a layout prepared earlier. What is published instead is the list of 24 institutions whose real statements sit in the regression tests - a list of what is tested against, not a list of what works. Scanned and image-only PDFs are handled, and so are password-protected files: the password opens that file and is never written to disk, to the job record, or to any log.

Statements holding several accounts stay separate - every CSV row carries an account column, Excel gets sheet per account, and the balance check runs per account rather than across the whole file. Up to 12 PDFs can be converted in batch and downloaded individually or merged into workbook. For QuickBooks and Xero the file is written to each destination's own rules - the exact column count and header wording, amounts signed the way each expects, and the row and file-size ceilings handled - so the import works without editing.

Uploaded PDFs and the page images rendered from them are deleted as soon as the conversion finishes, and nothing is kept longer than 24 hours.

A free account converts statement a month, up to 10 pages, with the full preview and both checks. Beyond that a single statement is $5 and five are $9,-time, with nothing renewing and no contract; monthly plans are available for people who convert every month.
