## Details

Hype Star (hypestar.org) is an open startup directory of useful tools and apps: reviewed startups, apps, sites, services and skills, searchable by people on the web and by AI agents through the same catalog (JSON API, MCP server and an agent skill).

Makers submit a public URL and Hype Star reviews it. An accepted project gets permanent public profile with no expiry, at no cost, with no account or card required. Profiles carry dated, source-backed summaries of official pages, organized into browsable categories, plus weekly editorial spotlights.

Hype Star also offers directory listings, SEO services and software recommendations that are not influenced by paid placement. Any paid features are clearly labeled and optional and do not change rank. A reciprocal link back to hypestar.org is appreciated but never required for review.
