Detailed Description
HOL Guard is local-first runtime control for AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. It runs on your machine and checks shell commands, secret access, MCP calls and package installs against your policy before they run, then allows them, blocks them or asks you to approve.
The local tool is free and open source under Apache-2.0. Guard Cloud is an optional paid add-on for shared history and team policy. Install with pipx install hol-guard, then run hol-guard init. Scan is not a safety guarantee. Maker: HOL.
