Does it intergrate with payroll systems like QuickBooks?
Currently, RosterMate fully integrates with Xero Payroll and iPayroll via API. For PayHero, we offer seamless CSV export/import. These three were the primary payroll systems used by our initial client base in New Zealand, so they were our first integrations. For new clients on a free trial, we always ask which payroll system they currently use. By the end of their trial, we either have a direct integration or a practical export/import solution, and we personally walk them through it. This approach helps us remain flexible and accessible as a newer solution in the market. The real game-changer, however, is that RosterMate has now become a payroll system itself. We handle leave balances, compliance, public holidays and of course pay runs, meaning our clients no longer need a separate payroll system. You get all of this for only slightly more or sometimes even the same cost of a typical payroll system, but with significantly more functionality.
I love the idea of a drag-and-drop scheduler, but can RosterMate handle last-minute shift swaps between employees without me needing to manually update everything?
Absolutely! RosterMate makes last-minute shift swaps simple and flexible. Here’s how it works: Configurable Access: You can set RosterMate so employees can see either all shifts or just the shifts of people in the same position. Shift Swap Requests: If an employee is sick or needs someone to cover their shift, they can send a request to colleagues with the same position. Everyone who qualifies will be notified, and the first person to accept the shift takes it. Manager Approval (Optional): You can choose whether swaps require manager approval or if they can be automatically accepted. Live Updates & Notifications: Once a swap is confirmed, the live roster updates automatically. Managers and admins are notified, and any sick leave or changes are recorded in the app. This means you don’t need to manually update the roster for last-minute changes, everything happens seamlessly within RosterMate.
